A New Home for the Hall

Since its founding in 1976, the Greater Cleveland Sports Hall of Fame has been a gem on the landscape of Northeast Ohio, showcasing the world class sports talent and personalities that hail from our region.

The Hall has inducted more than 530 athletes and sports figures representing the pinnacle of achievement across a diverse range of 30 different amateur and professional sports.

The Hall of Fame highlights the talent that Northeast Ohio has contributed to the world of sports, and its inductees serve as an inspiration to the youth of our region.

For decades, leaders of the Greater Cleveland Sports Hall of Fame have sought a permanent home for the Hall; a physical space where the stories of our inductees can be shared with visitors who can see, hear, and interact with them. Fulfilling that goal has been elusive, whether because of funding challenges or finding the perfect venue.

But the wait may soon be over.
